Annual Help for Heroes Golf Day

10th September 2021

ADM Surveyors hosted their clients and suppliers at their Annual Golf Day in support of Help for Heroes on 26th August 2021 at Cosby Golf Club

The event was a resounding success which raised over £1000.00 for the Help 4 Heroes Charity.

“Help for Heroes are extremely grateful to all at ADM Surveyors as well as their colleagues and friends for continuing to back the work that we do to support our nation’s military heroes. The annual golf day is a brilliant example of how you can get together with friends, have a great day and raise money for a worthy cause all at the same time. The donations raised at these events has and will continue to ensure that the charity delivers the support that our veterans deserve, now and in the future.” Dean Williams Help 4 Heroes.

The golf day in 2020 was unfortunately cancelled but it was great to see so many familiar faces at the event. The annual golf day provides an ideal opportunity for the ADM team to catch up with their wide client base, contractors and suppliers which has been so difficult over the past 18 months.

The event was hotly contested with last year’s winner Charles Henry and Son favourites for the event.

The individual prizes were collected by Charlie Stanley (Nearest the pin) Nathan Tabor (Longest Drive) and Steve Masic (Nearest the hole in two) with an Eagle on the first hole.

The Merlot Jug is given to the team with the lowest score using the Texas Scramble format. There were some incredible scores but we must recognise the team who finished last before we congratulate the winners. The team with the highest score was Evans Electrical Services (Midlands) Limited. Tom and his team are now becoming habitual winners of the wooden spoon prize, rumour has it that they will receive a paddle rather than a wooden spoon if they are unfortunate enough to lose for a third time in a row.

Now onto the winners of the 2021 ADM Surveyors Merlot Jug with an incredible team score of 55.37 (Handicap 5.63) were new entrants Rudkin and Herbert Limited. The team performed miracles on the back nine, recording six birdies and three pars which meant they hit just 29 shots on the way back to the clubhouse.

Winning Captain Ian Herbert:
“Well what a great day and a great surprise to actually win the Merlot Jug, which is sitting proudly in our office.

Loved the course (would say that!), never played there before and met some great people on the day.

I will also thank my team Stuart Driver, Scott Worrall and last but not least Steve “Sneaky” Phillips for their amazing golf on the day and we are looking forward to hopefully defending our crown.

Many thanks to Steve and his team for all the hard work they must have put in and their efforts raising money for a great cause”.

Director Steven Masic commented “Congratulations to Ian and his team we look forward to their defence of the trophy next year".

The annual golf day is a highlight in everyone’s calendar and I would like to thank Dean Williams at Help 4 Heroes for his assistance on the day and we thank Cosby Golf Club and Dave Flannagan at Floys Catering for their superb food and hospitality.
