Cosby Golf Club, Leicester

Cosby Golf Club have appointed ADM Surveyors to undertake initial design proposals and a feasibility study for a new clubhouse, including a restaurant, changing facilities and a pro shop.

Cosby Golf Club is located within the village of Cosby, nine miles South of Leicester city centre. The existing site contains a glorious 18 hole golf course, clubhouse, pro shop, driving range, putting green, short game area and car parking areas.

A summary of the clients brief for the site is shown below:

• New clubhouse and pro shop
• Bar and restaurant facilities with open plan seating/dining area
• Separate spike bar
• Covered seating / veranda area
• Male and Female changing areas
• Glazing for views of the golf course
• Improved main entrance
• Additional parking
• Retained vehicular access to the rear of building

The existing clubhouse will be demolished and replaced with a new modern facility with a total gross internal floor area of 1,130m2. The main entrance is located to the West, providing direct access from the car park. The external seating area will provide members / visitors with a clear view of the 18th green, an ideal solution after a round of golf. The pro shop and changing rooms are accessed internally, easily accessible from the car park and driving range.
