ADM conduct final inspection on Convenience Store in Lincolnshire

A.F. Blakemore & Son opened the doors to their Spalding Spar Store in 2022 on the grounds of the former Burdens Motor site.

The store provides 2,600 sq. ft. of retail area to provide a much-needed regeneration of the site to give an attractive and modern amenity for the local community and commuters.

ADM Surveyors have provided full Architectural and Quantity Surveying Services from the inception of the project for A.F. Blakemore and Son.

The main contractor on this project was Gelder Group in Lincolnshire who managed several challenges on this tight site. The project had third party drainage connections, decontamination, piling, section 278 works and a neighbouring pumping station. During the works the contractor had to contend with very difficult market conditions with materials a labour issues affecting delivery.

It was fantastic to see the development in such fine fettle at the final inspection and it was great to see the site manager and reminisce on the journey we had together.

ADM Surveyors pride ourselves on seeing a project through to the end and ensuring the parties can move onto the next development. This requires delicate negotiations and at times compromise.
