National Food Distributor Appoints ADM To Manage Construction of £20m Depot in Bedford

National food distributer A F Blakemore & Son Ltd has appointed ADM Surveyors Ltd to provide a comprehensive package of Construction Management Services to oversee the development of its brand-new food distribution centre on Manton Lane, Bedford.

Acting as Employers Agent, Building Surveyor, Quantity Surveyor and Project Coordinators on the £20million purpose-built facility, ADM’s comprehensive range of services will cover various stages of the project including base build, tenant enhancement and fit out works.

“This exciting project is being constructed on the site of a former underground reservoir and although decommissioned by Anglian Water over 20 years ago, there is still a complex infrastructure of water pipes surrounding the building.

“ADM’s multi-disciplined capabilities allows us to expertly navigate these challenges and by applying our extensive skillset we will provide bespoke solutions that are specifically tailored to A F Blakemore’s requirements.

The 164,850 sqm ambient, chilled and frozen distribution warehouse is due for completion in March 2021.
