The conversion of the former independent Stewart's Hardware store with single storey extension and internal alterations along with drainage and landscaping. Works comprised the complete renovation of the former hardware store, along with a new rear single storey extension for the provision of stock storage. Office accommodation and staff room space were included to the first floor. Burmor Construction of Market Deeping near Peterborough, commenced their contract period of thirty six weeks in August 2016. The retail ground floor area of the building increased from 242m2 previously, to 325m2. This new acquisition by Blakemore Retail was to replace an already existing smaller Spar convenience store in the locality, giving the village a larger, modern retail store.
Planning permission for the project was gained by Appeal to the Planning Inspectorate in 2013 after a lengthy planning process. The project completed in May 2017.
ADM provided the client with a full service on this project. This included gaining planning permission, preparing building regulations drawings pre and post contract quantity surveying services and full contract administration through to the project completion.
