Laceby Lodge Filling Station is a brand-new service station located on a busy intersection of the A18, Laceby Crossroad, Grimsby.
The £2million facility is home to a SPAR Convenience Store, Shell Petrol fuelling station and forecourt store with electric car charging point; car wash and a host of food and drink outlets.
Built on the site of a redundant fuel filling station which closed in the late 1970’s, and a “Little Chef” restaurant which subsequently closed in the 1990’s, the building and surrounding grounds lay neglected for over 20 years. Attracting vandalism and fly tipping including the dumping of asbestos waste, the site became an eyesore and was also contaminated with concentrations of Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons (TPH) from historic fuel tanks.
As well as being appointed to provide Architectural and Quantity Surveying services for the project, ADM was commissioned to procure a range of specialised surveys including a full Environmental Survey and Investigation and an Archaeological Watching Brief.
Members of The Association of Petrolum & Explosives Administrators, ADM successfully applied its expert knowledge to this complex project.
