The "village" was an innovative concept of care which comprises a main building with over seventy bedrooms subdivided into separate blocks, each individually staffed.
A further separate building with 8 units was provided for more independent clients of Prime Life and within the grounds, a social centre and extra care, one and two bedroomed cottages for individual residents was also provided. The contractors appointed were Pettifer Group of Warwickshire (prior to administration) and S&S Contracting Limited of Leicester.
ADM provided pre contract cost control and preparation of tender documents in the form of Bills of Quantities, obtained competitive tenders and compiled contract documents. Post contract Quantity Surveying services included monthly site meetings, preparation of interim valuations & certificates, pricing & agreement of variations and the final account with the Main Contractor.
Upon successful completion of this large scale project, ADM had the pleasure of attending the opening ceremony by H.R.H. Princess Anne.
A rating of "Luxury" by Knight Frank Regional Care Home Review in 2020 was achieved for this truly magnificent facility set within the beautiful countryside of Rutland.
In 2003, our pre and post contract Quantity Surveying Services were instructed by Prime Life for a new care village set in Oakham, Rutland.
