We are proud to be associated with this award winning project at Westcotes Drive, Leicester which has won in the ProCon - Leicestershire Property & Construction Awards, 'Large Residential Scheme of the Year 2022'. The scheme was entered by the project architects, Corporate Architecture Limited of Market Harborough.
This fantastic project was also awarded 'Best Purpose Built Accommodation' at the LABC Building Excellence Awards 2023 - East Midlands.
Wyggeston Hospital was originally formed as an Almshouse/Sheltered Housing charity in 1513 and has been providing sheltered housing and care for vulnerable older people in Leicester for more than 500 years.
Following instructions from the Trustees of Wyggeston Hospital, ADM was commissioned to act as Quantity Surveyor for the proposed redevelopment works comprising a new three storey Hub extension with eight new apartments, six two-bedroom self-sufficient bungalows and associated external works all of which were designed by Market Harborough Architects, Corporate Architecture Limited.
Our pre contract services included cost control and preparation of tender documents, obtaining competitive tenders from a select contractor list, and preparation of contract documents.
Post contract services undertaken included attending monthly site visits to provide a valuation of the work executed. Measurement and agreement of variations along with the preparation and agreement of the final account with the main contractor.
The main contractors for the hub extension and bungalows were S&S Contracting Limited of Leicester.
